Bag of Beans - Tagaytay

Tagaytay is being considered as the second summer capital of the Philippines because of it's cold weather. Been there several times, but I would say that my last visit was the  most memorable and happiest of all.

I did a research before, about the best places to be if you will go to Tagaytay. Since its cold in this city, Coffee shop will sure be a good place to be. BAG OF BEANS was always on the people's list. So here ya go, let me share you what we have tried and experienced on the popular coffee shop:

BAG OF BEANS
Tagaytay City

LOCATION /THEME

Nasugbu Highway, Tagaytay City

If you are from Manila (Aguinaldo Highway) turn right. You would see it immediately after Rotonda.

I'm not sure if this store in Nasugbu Highway is a branch or they have moved on a different location.

(It looks different on their website: http://bagofbeanstagaytay.net/)

This is the firs time I have been there. So I can't really compare.

The theme of the shop is nostalgic/antique. They used wood and glass for their furniture.

Upon entering the place, you will see some tables and chairs aligned, and the cashier on the right side. You will also see their coffee shop. They have displayed their best selling coffee on packs.

THE VIEW

We chose to be seated on the veranda so we can get to see the breath-taking view from the shop.

Although you will not clearly see Taal Volcano from there, but to eat breakfast and have a very beautiful view and ambiance, I think it's more than enough.

COFFEE - House Specialty

As what the name of the store implies, they have various selection of coffee. Based on the Menu the most expensive coffee is what they called HOUSEBLEND, it costs 115php/cup. But i opted not to try it since I am not fan of black coffee. I ordered Caramel Machiatto - which costs 105 pesos. I was surprised by their presentation:
Caramel Machiatto - 105php

Probably its their gimmick for Valentines Day since it was few days before the said event. The coffee tasted really good. But since it was really cold there you really have to finish your coffee before it gets cold too. :)

THE FOOD

The resto has a good variety of food, They serve not only American food but even Filipino food for  breakfast. The best seller- SILOGs comprised their breakfast. They also have this Kid's Menu which includes Cheeseburger, Nuggest, Chicken  etc. And for their Main course: they have Roast Beef, Fish, Sausage and Shrimp. For their  All Day breakfast this was what we have tried:

SUNRISE BREAKFAST

Cheese Omelette, two buttermilk pancakes & sausage
Price: 275
Good for 2

Will definitely go back here. There's a lot more to try :)
