Give more than you take

from Papemelroti

I saw this frame in one of the stores in Glorietta few days back. I was trying to look for gifts for Christmas. Felt like there is a magnet on this thing. Couldn't help but to stare at it. Aside from the very artistic look, the statement caught my attention more.

GIVE MORE THAN YOU TAKE

How do you really measure if you are giving more than what you are taking? Is there a way to know it? Or do we really need to measure it? Do you give only to get something in return?

Some say it should be a GIVE and TAKE process
Some say you should not expect anything.

I seek help from Merriam-Webster online. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/give

give verb \ˈgiv\
: to put into the possession of another for his or her use: to designate as a share or portion

Giving is imparting anything from your possession to someone else's. Taking one thing from yourself to pass on to others.  Whether the recipient wants it or not.

Bottom line is, when you give, do not think of what you can get in return. Give because you want to. Because you are happy to share something. Never compare what you get or will get. Just give what your heart desires to give. It will be more fulfilling in that way. At least, if you will not be able to receive anything, it wouldn't hurt you.

"It's important to give it all you have while you have the chance.
