BonChon - BoChog

I have heard of this resto before, many times actually. But only last November when I had a chance to try their well known chicken.

This place gets more prominent not only in the Philippines but in the United States as well.

This resto originated form Korea. 

THE PLACE 

We have visited it's branch in Ayala Triangle.

It's ambiance is like a typical fast food chain, but a more elegant design.But just like other fast food, you have to fall in line, order for your food and wait  for it to be served.

I don't actually know what to expect on the restaurant. It was the first time I ate on a Korean resto but I am really starving to taste their chicken.

BonChon Meals -

*Chicken Drumsticks - 95/145php

BonChon Hot and Spicy Chicken

It was indeed crunchy. It tastes good. There are 2 flavors of chicken: Hot and  Spicy and Soy Garlic. You have  a choice of either 1 pc-(95php) or 2 pcs (145php) which both comes with rice already.

And also, they have not only Drumsticks but Wings, Combo (which I think a combination of the 2) and the Chops.

They also offer chicken only good for groups.The number of chicken will depend on what part you want.

Small with 3- 6 pieces chicken - 185php, Medium with 6-12 pieces chicken - 365php and Large with 12 or 24 pieces of  OVERWHELMING chicken.

*Bulogogi Rice box - 145 php comes with Soda.

One of the most famous Korean recipe. Grilled beef top on a bowl of rice. 

It is a sweet and good food but you can have too much of it.

Last on my list is the Korean's version of noodles. Again, it is sweet. Like all the food here. Nonetheless, still a good food.

I just then realize that eveyrthing they serve has a touch of sweetness.Not sure if its how Koreans cook food or its BonChon's style.


But either way, BonChon made me BoChog and make me wanna visit other branches.

THE LOOKS

This is one of the coolest restaurants I have been to. This resto is located in Baguio. I am not sure if there are any branches. You don't have to miss it if you are in Baguio. I haven't heard of it not until 4D6 and I went to Baguio last November 12. I think the place is really well known. We just tell the taxi driver "50's diner po manong". Walang tanong tanong. Well ganun siya kasikat sa city. In fainess naman kasi, the food is really good and sulit.

They have a very cool ambiance. As what the name of the resto implies, it feels like I was on the 50s era. There was this one thing that captured my attention:

the BEATLES

So cool. Very Unique yung features ng place. Unfortunately we were there in the afternoon, so we never get the chance to see it during night kasi astig yung lights nila. I'm sure its more cool and lovely place.

Actually, I was a bit hesitant to order at first. Of course I have never been here but the names of the food were interesting:

Aside from those sumptuous food they also have desserts.I tried Ice Cream shake Vanilla. I cant remember if its 75 pesos or 60 pesos. Anyway, whichever it is, it is still sulit. Probably in Manila this would cost more than that.

50's Diner is a very nice place to be. "Favorite ko na dito"- Judy. This is just one memorable place for 4d6.

No, he's not Denis Trillo. He's my brother. :) 

Well, sorry girls but he's married. :) and with two wonderful kids. He is Chie and Teng's father (see previous post). I really admire him as a person, a great dad, son and brother. He had been very generous and i'm sure that's the reason why God gives him endless blessings.

Diko is a music lover like me. I guess it runs in the family. He plays guitar, and drums. (exactly what I want). I can remember back then he had his own band. RIGVEDA. :) He had been a great fan of alternative music. Perhaps, this is what I get from him. I've been listening to his music. My very own guitar instructor and provider of any instruments, ampli, beatbox and camera (lol).

During childhood, well he is 10 years older than me. They say "lagi magkaaway yung magkasunod na magkapatid", and for us i's true. :P He had been my greatest enemy back when I was a kid. We were like him and kuya, super close but can be the greatest enemy.I can still recall kung pano nya ko i-wrestling! Kung pano nila ko pagtulungan ng kuya sa pagkiliti sakin. Haha Sometime's he is just silent but not to mention he's the best joker in town. He's not as talkative and as crazy as Peledik, pero pag sya na yung nagbato ng joke, I swear, di mo kakayanin.








Exact opposite sila ng kuya. Maitim si kuya, maputi si diko. Gwapo si diko, gwapo din si kuya syemps! Haha.. We really have a rich childhood memory. Lalo na sila nung wala pa ko. Well, I can spend the rest of the day telling all our stories. Hindi kasya yung araw, baka malate ang bati ko.

He never fail to give me things I need, isang ask ko lang hindi naman sya nagdadalawang isip. Especially during my college. I will never get this far, if not for them. It's something big for me and really appreciate it.









There are lots of things that may happen to us, challenges in life we cannot control but these will not change the fact that we are one family. :)

Lance and Kurt.

They are Diko’s kids. SOooooo lovable. Lance is Chie, Kurt is Teng. These kids are like twins, like kuya and diko when they where kids. Chie is one year older than Teng. Playing computer games are one of our best bonding. Hindi ako makasingit sa laptop pag sila na naglalaro. Just kidding. Para silang pinagbiyak na buko. Just like my brothers.

They rock my world, literally. Not to menion Kuya’s kids. When they are together, it’s riot.

Game over

Inspired by Kuya's blog. I am about to list my personal top ten favorite computer games of all time. This will compose the most played games- those games I am playing up until dawn; the very reason why I am now nocturnal. It could be games I used to play and I am still playing :)

From Nintendo, to Sega, to Playstation 1 to Playstation 2 to PSP. Not to mention those online games I have spent a lot of "open time- computer rental". Whether the bulky desktop or the slimmest laptop now.

I tried to list first all the games I used to play. I was able to list at least thrice the list below. But since I just need ten, I weighed and recalled how addicting the games were. And I end up with this list:

10. RESIDENT EVIL

Resident Evil 4

Nunber ten will be RE. One of the few RPGs I got addicted to.
RESIDENT EVIL - I think I started from RE 1. I was able to catch up until RE4. This is the only game I DO NOT PLAY ALONE. I can remember I will immediately pass the joystick to kuya or diko when all zombies are eating me up. :)









9. ADVENTURE ISLAND

This is somewhat a copycat of Mario. But what I really love about this game is the skates and the axes. :) The best yung natatalisod sya! Wahaha.. Pero I never finished the game. Hanggang mga level 5 lang. I cant recall if someone was lucky to finish the game.


8. COMMANDOS

Commandos characters 

"Yes Sir!" This is really a mind game. A very tactical game.Yung tipong kinakabahan ka palage kapag tatapat yung red light sayo. I can remember we are playing this way back gradeschool. We are using our very first desktop. A bulky computer I mean. :)

               

7.  CRASH 


Crash is EPIC. I can remember playing it with nephews. Playstation 1 it is! Crash Team Racing is the fourth installment in the Crash Bandicoot series. It is the first Crash Bandicoot game in the racing genre and the last Crash Bandicoot game to be developed by Naughty Dog- Wikipedia. Well, from Bandicoot to Racing to Bash!! Im so a fan!!

6. SMACKDOWN / NBA LIVE

Tied at number 7 is NBA Live and Smackdown. (Well I guess in they are tied in the number of times i played them :D). 

NBA is equal to tournament. It's the game we were able to maximize the tournament options. No game was an Exhibition Mode. Always PLAYOFFS. This is wer Sonny Alvarado, Vergel Meneses, Marlou Aquino and Erik Mennk were able to play in NBA. (Those were created players) NBA Live's graphics back then was very simple. 2D view alone. With a paper like bodies and predictable moves. Yung mga players na tumatagos sa board at ang audience na walang muka! Lol. I do play this game until highschool with my long lost bestfriend, dadayo pa kame sa Padilla to rent PS. Going back to the pleyops, I my brothers, my cousin and a friend/neighbor would compete for the trophy. My ACE players back then were SHAQ of Lakers, Duncan of Spurs , and the my favorite "Its MILLER time" Reggie Miller of "Pacers".

SMACKDOWN. Those were the days. The Rock, HHH, Mankind, Undertaker and Stonecold are our most used player. Royal Rumble, Tables Ladders and Chairs and the Cage Match. We even play MAYHEM, just to have BretHeart on the ring! My one and only HITMAN <3. Not to mention, Shawn Micheals, HBK(Heart Break Kid).

5. O2JAM


 Fly Magpie - Favorite song. I can play this millions of times. This is what I can perfect. I can spent hours in front of the computer for this. Even I am alone in the room. :) One more song called Lonely song Lonely Song- the most ironic song I have heard. :D It has lonely in its title but it is a VERY happy song- a very feel good song. (Like a Christmas song?)
One more song I love is Canon.
What the.... Definitely, I'll play O2JAM this weekend. What a stress reliever.


4. AUDITION DANCE BATTLE

I can clearly imagine how addicted I was on this SUPER game. I would even rent 3-5 hours a day, just to play this. Dito ko naramdaman mamanhid ang kamay kakapindot. Haha.

3. BATTLE CITY

You are an 80s baby if you know this game. I think its older than me. :) Yes, who can forget the CONSTRUCTION MODE. Were you can construct your name. Remembering Nintendo days.

2. PACMAN

Waka waka waka waka .. Sounds familiar right?? You're right its PACMAN. This is where they get Manny Pacquiao's alias. But I cannot remember finishing the game. I play it best. :) haha

1. SUPER MARIO BROS.

And yes, Super Mario Bros. tops the list again. SUPER MARIO BROS. 3 - my ULTIMATE favorite. Kahit san pa yan. Nintendo, Sega, Playstation, ahhhhh whatever.... Your mom and dad definitely know Super Mario!!! I have played Super Mario 1, 2, 3 Mario and Yoshi's Adventure...

It was kinda dark outside. Looks like a heavy rain is coming. All my bags are packed. Ready to go. Pero kulang pa, wala pa lahat. Pero madami na din. Yung iba pala hihintayin sa Monumento.

6pm, all set sa jeep. Well looks like tipid lakad mode, kasi bumalik sa jeep. Anyways, its fine, its raining, so mahangin.When we thought we are ready togo "Maiwan na kasama naten, wag lang ang mga food." Unintentionally, "Put@&$@&$( si Alfred!" naiwan pala. Buti may nakaalala. Sorry manager!

6.15pm - first stop- Fetch Kat sa Shell sa Letre.
6.30pm -second stop -Monumento. Waiting time - Laboy laboy, kalat kalat.
7pm (ata)nakumpleto din.
Its a long and cold and dark byahe.. NLEX, Bocaue, Pulilan, at ang halos buong probinsya ng Bulacan.
Kulitan sa jeep, ciempre iisa pa rin ang topic anu po edi, highschool kwentos. Na kahit paulit ulit na pagkwentuhan nakakatawa pa din.

around 8pm. Next stop. Supposedly bibili ng yelo. Pero it turned out the creepiest pat of all.
"Ate may yelo kayo?", "Naku wala.". "Ah ganun po ba, pwede magtanong? Malayo pa po ba yung Bigrock? Tama ba daan namen?", "OO malayo pa kayo, pero sige direretso lang"... sabay hinto "MAGIINGAT KAYO DUN", *ulk* "baket naman po 'te??" "BASTA"! Woooooww.. I think I have seen that part on most of the horror Filipino movies. Pretend as if nothing happened. Pero thank you ate, you reminded us, we haven't prayed for a safe trip yet. Hawak hawak ng kamay, nakapikit lahat, Wamos lead us in our prayer. Short but sincere.

Whoa! I cant imagine me and Judy going to the place alone. Well good thing umabot kame, kunde iiyak ako. lol.

past 9pm. Finally, San Rafael Bulacan. Eto yung sinasabi ni Ron na 150 pesos ride ng tryk. Malayo layo nga, pang horror pa, "naiiwan yung dilim". Tanging ilaw lang sa jeep yung makikita mo.
Pero syempre, gagawin lang nameng katatawanan, kahit parang takot na si lei, lol.

Here we are DEadrock,... no BIGROCK!!! Grabe, grand entrance. Sabay "Mam, wala na po tayong room. Dapat po nagpareserve kayo." Anak ng.. ndi ko man lang masyado nkita yung place. Pero mukhang maganda kahit sa gabi. Haaayy "Mam gusto nyo try nyo sa kabila. .... Kaso walang tao dun.." At dahil mahirap ang walang room, pahiya onte. Lipat kame.

930pm. To be honest cant remember the name of the second reso..rt nga ba yun? lol Basta ang natatandaan ko may ka tukayo ako si Kzel Ampo? sya ata may ari. Nakita ko sa banner na kupas, 10 pools daw. Sige by twos daw ang pasok. OK naman daw sabi nila. Chineck na din ng iba, may ibang okay, may ibang hinde. Ako kahit saan, Not just being safe pero, almost 10 na din. Mas iniisip ko yung room kesa yung lugar. After so much deliberation, nag vote 9 votes to stay, so majority. Nakakatuwa kasi may nagpahiram ng discount card. (akalain mong may ganun sila) O nacute-an lang kay bruce? Well, eto na nga bayad na sila at papasok na kame. Disappointing yung lugar pero keri na, kasi nacompare sa Bigrock eh. literal palang katabi lang nun un.

Amost 10 pm na parang gutom na gutom nako, sa wakas nailapag din ang gamit.

Sa pagkakataong ito, dito mo masusubukan ang barkada. Sabi ko "Kela lei nga nageenjoy tayo eh" ""LETS JUST ENJOY EACH OTHER'S COMPANY" Yun naman ang purpose ng lakad namen eh.. bonding..

Iniikot ang place. Maraming marumi, i mean pool. Pero 2 lang yun medyo okay, ang CATCH one is 8ft and the other is 6ft. Oh my... pano na kameng mga matatangkad?? This cant be. Pero salamat sa "JUCCUZI" nameng square at sa orange ni tei, naenjoy na din.

Super late supper. past 10pm, giniling, adobo at inihaw na hotdog at Porkchop. Thankyou sa nagprepare,. Solve pa din ang dinner.

September 18 na. madaling araw, kanya kanyang trip. merong nag bar, may nagplanking, may tumalon ng tumalon sa 8ft na pool. May nagjucuzzi , may nagmoment. May barkadang masaya inspite of the not so good place.

Nagluto na din si Momi Ish ng sopas, para breakfast paggising, wala na daw kasing uling. Isa isa ng nag banlawan. Pumwesto na yung iba sa room.

Sa tancha ko, good for 2 yung room. Pero we are 18 adulst and 1 kid-s, sabi nga ni ate sa Bigrock (Bully!)
3 extra bed, 5 sa isa. Wlang galawan.
Hanggang sa Bulacan, may baha, nag baha yung banyo. di ko alam pano namen nagawa magkasya at magpakasaya dun.

5 am na -ayaw pa din tumigl ng mga nagbivideoke, kasabay nun ay ang sagutan ng hilik sa kwarto. Panalo. Yan ang barkada ko.

Parang pumikit lang ako, tapos breakfast na pala. Konting ayus ayus, ikot ikot, Tpos uwian na. Nagenjoy naman, hindi man sa place at least sobrang enjoy ang presence ng bawat isa.

11am I dont know why we stop on a vulcanizing shop. Siguro pinapachek yung gulong. Small things that really made our trip worth it. Salo salo sa chips at sa royal ni Juju.
