The Bamboo Experience.

It was a fine rainy Tuesday afternoon. Chillax lang kasi it is my Friday. I thought it would be a normal day. I went out of the office and headed my way to the gym.

I was so lazy na nakatulog pa ko sa fx. I hit the gym. I attempted my first 5k run. And luckily I was able to complete it in 57 mins, setting my first personal record. Well too much of that.

While heading our way out, we saw a store in Glorietta filled with so many people. It's as if there was an event being held. I tried to check out what's in there and BOOM! I saw Bamboo! Well it's kinda "What the Fudge? Is that really Bamboo over there?" So we rushed ourselves and went to that store. Since there were a lot of people, let me just emphasize "tall" people. I cant see him :( So I almost lost my hope to get near him.

But since it was the first time I will see him, I think I got all the adrenaline rush to go near the stage haha Song after song we got nearer. Probably I have pushed other people in front of me unintentionally. Well, Im that small that I was able to pass through the people without them noticing it. Haha Small but Terrible dba? :)  My focus was to take pictures and videos.

Here's how close we were from the stage. Sobrang abot kamay!

I felt like there was a butterfly in my stomach because I got very happy and excited. Para kong bata! Especially when he sang Elesi one of my most favorite songs of Rivermaya. He sang Wonderwall by Oasis, Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson, and his originals Elesi and Ulan. He sang some other songs, apparently I don't know the title. :p

This experience was so fun, it was like an ambush free mini concert. I was unprepared and clueless that I will be watching him just few steps away from me. I just went to Glorietta to go to gym and eat dinner then poooof! I got free mini concert of Bamboo, not just free but front row. :) Thank God its Friday and its Bamboo!

Bukod pa sa sobrang lapit ko sya narinig kumanta, I was able to get a close up picture with Mr. Kawayan. :) Above all, Bamboo is way to cool and good to his fans.  He is friendly. Hindi masungit. Nakaka-starstruck. Actualy he looked tired after singing but crowd asked for more. He sang few more songs. Then he allowed people to take pictures with him. And fortunately, Judy and I were one of them :)

This is really something big for me as a fan from Rivermaya days to his solo career. I just want to share the videos we took. So here you go, Rock on! Enjoy the videos and you are welcome. :)

Stigmatized - Best Version

WHOA!! I can't help but to re-post this video. It really made my day! This version is so awesome.

This is a live performance of The Calling of the song Stigmatized. They performed at Shibuya Ax in Tokyo, Japan on September 14, 2004 according to the description of this video from YouTube(C).

Goosebumps for the 2 minute- intro, which was played by Justin "Chops" Derrico-Lead Guitar. And man, he's really rockin' the stage! Can someone give me a copy of this concert? :)

Didn't care much about the lyrics of this song, not until I have seen this video from youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04NVSruO6FY I noticed the extra verse compared to the regular version.

"Well I'll write you all a letter,
To say my last goodbye,
I just think it's time for me to go away.
Cause the sun it seems to sink now,
Like my love into her grave,
This life is not yet over,
But it doesn't need to be saved.
Well the chambers of my heart,
They echo all the same.
I'm a solitary man,
Who drives himself insane.
Well we'll all come back,
And we'll smile once again,
I'll try and try, until I die, to make you understand
My love, I'll make you understand"
And i decided to search for an mp3 file with extra verse. I thought that the video I have seen is their best version, but found this live performance. And its really amazing. I think they never recorded the song with the extra verse. They just play it whenever they were in concerts, I think.

This was by far one of the best concert piece. :) \m/
Rock on!

Kuya

Anu meron? Hehe.. Well this was supposed to be a 'surprised' birthday gift to my Kuya. But he spoiled it himself. He has been expecting this. #buking.  I hope this one still surprised you in a way. :)
*****************************************************************************
(border mo nung college! lol remember?)

Born April 15, 1957 este, 1977. I should know. Kasi 11 years ang tanda nya sakin. :p Full name: Frederick Negapatan. AKA Elek. I can recall- clearly recall- na madalas nya sinasabi na kamukha daw niya si Troy Montero, Jericho Rosales, Ryan Agoncilio at si Robin Padilla. My brothers are really celebs. (si diko kasi he looks like Dennis Trillo, but i think he's more of Red Sternberg from original TGIS - see post Diko)

Sa dami ng kamukha DAW nya eh, sabi ko baka kaya naghalo halo na ichura nila. haha peace. But seriously, we all believe na kamukha nya si Gio Alvarez. This is the closest I got. :p

Fair enough?

Apart from his very strong self- confidence - hahahaha - is a very funny man. Mukha ba? He always makes our home a very happy one. Hindi sya magaling super magpatawa like Diko. In short OA! hahaha.. And speaking of abnoy sya nga pala si Tikboy. Kalahati tao, kalahati saging! Lol...

He's by far the most emotional person I know. Sya pala ang pinaka-vocal at emotional saming lahat. Which is more of nakaktuwa naman. :) Actually they say, our family is so sweet and dramatic. He may be a very funny person but when it comes to family he is a serious one.Lalo na sa personal nyang buhay and how he handles his own family.

Family - Like Diko he is already married with Ate Mich or Kileng as how she calls his wife. He is a father of 3 emotional and loving kids: Liam, Jello and Leana, the newest addition to the family. He has been a really great father to these kids. I can say that he had been the best father for them, at least for me.

Look they are so much alike:

Jimmy Jimmy

When it comes to hobby and talent, i guess it really runs in the blood. He was also a great mentor to me. Sa gitara, he is more of a basist-guitarist. I thank him for the inspiration and yung deep knowledge sa music. Hindi naman kaplastic-an, like he always insist I am. Am so happy and proud of my brothers kasi they have been a good influence when it comes to music. I may not have the same type of music he and Diko have, but I have a very strong foundation of it. I have my own type of music, with their influence at least.

Aside from the music, we shared and we have the most fruitful childhood. Kahit na we have 10 years and 11 years age differences nila diko, I can say na I have been a very lucky bunso beacuse of them. I can remember  all his stories, si Bertong Pilay, ang alamat ng Yellow, Pinatubo at ang Pangarap namen na Jackpot. One more thing, yung nighties ni mama na sinunog nya. Haha Nostalgic. I am seeing me and him samin ni Liam.

And I would like to thank you for all those times and everything. Hindi ko na i-enumerate I'm sure you know all of them. You have been such a great and loving brother for both diko and me. Magkakaiba man tayo ng paniniwala at opinyon sa mga bagay bagay but I am so sure that our love for our family will always be the strongest and most important thing for all of us!

Hinihintay pa din namen ang treat mo! Belated happy birthday Kuya!!! We love you!

Buses and Trains

BUSES and TRAINS
by Bachelor Girl

This is one of my most favorite videoke piece. This was a late 90s hit song by an Australian band. But I heard this song when I was in high school. This was when yung pag burn ng CDs is really in. I received a gift, which was a cd coming from a friend, and thesong was part of the list. And from then on, hindi na sya nawala sa playlist ko.

Hey Mom
Why didn't you tell me
Why didn't you teach me a thing or two
You just let me go
Out into the World
You never thought to share what you knew

So I walked under a bus
I got hit by a train
Keep falling in love
Which is kinda the same
I've sunk out at sea
Crashed my car, gone insane
And it felt so good
I want to do it again

Hey Mom
Why didn't you warn me
Coz about boys is something i should have known
They`re like chocolate cake
Like cigarettes
I know they're bad for me
But I just can't leave 'em alone

So I walked under a bus
I got hit by a train
Keep falling in love
Which is kinda the same
I've sunk out at sea
Crashed my car, gone insane
And it felt so good
I want to do it again

(AND I WALKED)UNDER A BUS
I GOT HIT BY A TRAIN
AND IT FEELT SO GOOD
AND I WANNA DO IT AGAIN
WANNA DO IT AGAIN
*HEY EY IEEY*
(WANNA DO IT)
Oh, felt so good

Hey Mom
Since we're talking
What was it like when you were young
Has the world changed
Or is it still the same
A man can kill and still be the sweetest love.

So I walked under a bus
I got hit by a train
Keep falling in love
Which is kinda the same
I've sunk out at sea
Crashed my car, gone insane
And it felt so good
I want to do it again

So I walked under a bus
I got hit by a train
Keep falling in love
Which is kinda the same
I've sunk out at sea
Crashed my car, gone insane
And it felt so good
I want to do it again

(AND I WALKED)UNDER A BUS
I GOT HIT BY A TRAIN
AND IT FEELT SO GOOD
AND I WANNA DO IT AGAIN
WANNA DO IT AGAIN)

Bliss

Chapel's main entrance.
Sto. Nino Dela Paz Chapel in Greenbelt.

March 25, 2012 - After work I decided to seek peace of mind. I know this is where I can get it. Thank You for this blissful-and-full-of-blessings day for me.

This was where I heard one of the best sermon. It's just sad, I can't remember the mass celebrant.

All challenges are blessings too, just try to look at it on a bigger picture.  "Lord, LETs GO."

Visit their site at http://greenbeltchapel.org/ or like them at facebook https://www.facebook.com/greenbeltchapel for mass schedules.
